The intention of this site is to provide Customers/Operators of the Kodak NexPress Digital Production Color Presses a repository of video-based training media to support and enhance the training received in the NexPress Operator class. A large amount of highly technical information is presented during the week-long training class. It is a most daunting task to "take in" all of the information that is presented on how to properly maintain and operate a Digital Production Color Press that is very sophisticated and being seen for the very first time. |
| Hence, the Video Training Library provides new operator trainees a place to visit to reinforce very
key information that was presented in the classroom setting. With
increased understanding, operators of the press will be better
equipped to
maintain the press in a timely and cost effective manner
to allow their work site to produce high quality output on a continual basis. |
NexPert + VTL = Enhanced Press Understanding & Operation

During the week-long operator training program students are directed on how to use NexPert as their technical resource
for dealing with press maintenance and operation. That notion remains the same. In no way do the videos provided on this
site replace the information provided in NexPert. The Video Training Library provides a visual aid and reminder regarding the
specific procedure an operator is undertaking. So the thought is to always use NexPert for all of your operator task specifics
and use the VTL as a means of "seeing" what is actually involved in executing the NexPert procedure at hand.
VTL utilizes YouTube videos
The videos contained in the VTL are High Definition (1280 X 720p resolution) content that are stored online at YouTube.com. An end user cannot simply go to YouTube and search on specific titles of the training material provided in the VTL. The video content is stored on an Unlisted Channel so that they are not accessible to competitors of Eastman Kodak in this technical arena. Operators gain access to the videos only from the links provided within this training site. There are different resolutions that the videos can be viewed at online on YouTube. There is a Quality "Settings" button on the YouTube Player which allows the end user to match the quality that their web connection bandwidth allows them. |
